As a very young boy, I remember some of the activities of kindergarten. The milk and cookies, the art time, with the paste glue, and the nap time.I remember getting off the bus by the water tower, the ginko trees, and standing by the big black fence, waiting to go into Jenks. I can also recall May Day, getting the lemons, with the flavored candies, and all of the tables set-up in the playground. Miss. Jaeger, with her braided hair! And, I can vividly recall the sad day, on which Mrs. Neuman
sent me to some of the other classes, to inform everyone that the President had been shot.
Unfortunately, on October 19,1965, I was taken from class, and due to the fact my father died, I was put into Girard College, never to return to see some of my very good friends.Randy Snyder, Marc Lankin, Neil Powe, John Little, Susan Metter,Virginia Dunning, Warren Goodrich, and the list goes on from there.I'm still in the Phila.area, working for PECO, and looking towards retirement.I would love to hear from all of you, and hope there's more to come!
