This is really great to make this connection. I am Linda Lorenzon Kopf and I attended J.S. Jenks from kindergarten, entering in 1946, until we moved to Erdenheim in 1954. Unfortunately, I didn't get to graduate from Jenks. (BUT, I still have a friendship with Carol Lamb Vogt, who joined me at Springfield, Montgo. Co. after she graduated from Jenks.... but that's a long story).

My sister, Gloria would have graduated from Jenks in 1951, but I can't find that picture.

Jenks still stands grandly on its corner on Germantown Ave. It is a stop on the "tour" whenever I take family or freinds for a day on The Hill. Now living in Lancaster, PA, I return to the area once or twice a year. Hello to any of my classmates from the years I was at Jenks... "the KKKKBook Club" will know who they are; rollerskating up and down the sidewalks; "boys after girls and girls after boys" on the playground (very innocent in those days, banned by the teachers only because there were so many skinned knees); the gingko trees ringing the playground; trading cards; and yes, those dedicated teachers.

I'll be checking back to see if anyone out there remembers me, and some of our shared memories. Hope you are all well..
