thank you greatly for this online resource about J.S. Jenks, my very first alma mater--the home of many great memories of a childhood so recently past. The website is astounding! I'm glad there's a forum for those loyal to Jenks, and curious about its history that even those present at the school during my stay could not answer. In my opinion, Jenks has gone quite the way the district has after I left, I fear. So many of my favorite teachers have left citing rabid parents furious over proper discipline of unruly kids. In addition, Masterman has continued to siphon off talented, dedicated students. However, I must maintain that I have only the fondest memories of my time there, and the teachers who prepared me so well. What happened since can never cloud the joy of my childhood at Jenks.
