For those of you who graduated from Jenks in the years after me ('67) you may remember Mrs. Preston.
Mrs. Preston taught kindergarten after Mrs. Patterson retired. I saw Mrs. Preston today in the
hospital where she was in for a minor procedure. She told me she will be 94 on June 14 and retired
from Jenks in 1974. She remembered me and many, many Jenks kids. She's living in Cathedral Village
and plays the piano for the church services there. She looks well for her age and is clear and sharp.
She asked about Mr. Giorno and Mr. Gershman and if I knew how they were and was sorry to hear that
Mr. Gershman had passed. I told her about this website and she said she will check it out when she
returns to Cathedral Village as they have computer access there. It was fun to see her and walk down
memory lane with her.
