1. The Real Joy of Yeshua's Birth
|
That joy lies in the reality of the words of Simion, who saw
the babe brought to the temple on the eigth day to be circumsized
according to the law. To this man, God revealed that this babe was
born King of the Jews and the Saviour of the world.
|
|
Luke 2:29-32
29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
|
This was the cause for which Jesus came into the world, to bring
our salvation. He did this by His own precious blood. For this reason,
with a sanctity we ought to reverence that glorious event of His birth
by a virgin, into the world. Understanding the joy of His salvation, is
a joy that will never "wear off" or cause you to be "let down" on Dec. 25th.
|
2. Along With This Joy: FREEDOM
|
Friend one of the greatest levels of peace you will ever obtain, is
the one that comes with being freed of the "social responsibility" of
the materialistic, commercial practices of the holiday known as "Christmas."
You will not be caught in long shopping lines, your credit card or other
personal finances will not be devastated, and your spirit will not collapse
when the let down of commercialism is surely experienced by others at about
13:00 hours Christmas morning.
|
Above all, in refraiming from the spiritual adultery that is this winter
feast event, you will have lived a life that is pleasing to the Father,
and demonstrated your love for Him in choosing the purity of spirit over
the peer pressure that would corrupt that same spirit. You will have placed
Jesus 1st in your life. How can you do this? Jesus taught that;
|
|
John 8:36
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
|
Just pray, "Jesus, be my strength", and He will be. He will lift you
out of the delusion of these last days that we find ourselves in, an cause
you to walk in a new direction. He will continually open your eyes to the
walk in righteousness and holiness that is His light. God bless you.
|
With this freedom, you will be able to reply, when told of several
children who do not have any "toys for Christmas" and are therefore
soliciting your funds, that there is a Saviour in Heaven who gives the
gift of eternal life. And that they can
joy in the hope of dwelling in His presence, beholding His eternal glory.
All made possible by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus.
|
And finally, the next time you are exiting a department store or
other, and are confronted by someone ringing a bell, asking you for your
money, you will have the freedom to ask them, "Where is your uniform?"
