A Brief Summary of Human History:
(1) GOD created Man. .....(Genesis 1:26-27)
(2) Man rebelled against GOD.....(Genesis 3:1-5)
(3) Man lost eternal life and was destined to spend eternity in
Hell with Satan. .....(Genesis 3:19)
This is the point at which we who have acknowledged the sin in our
lives, find ourselves. We are born in sin, entering the world
with the corrupted nature of Adam, the first man. King David of Israel, in
his psalm of repented said it this way;
Psalm 51:4,5
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,
and done this evil in thy sight: that
thou mightest be justified when thou
speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and
in sin did my mother conceive me.
|
As we see from Psalm 51:5, like King David, we are born separated from GOD by the sin
present in us at the very start.
There is salvation in Jesus of Nazareth.
The coming of GOD's Son into the world
made it possible to completely reverse this situation of doom. GOD
loves you even as you are in your
sins and astoundingly, before the foundations of the world were laid,
GOD knew then of the provision He would make so that you might be forgiven.
That plan was the coming of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) into the world to
save sinners from eternal damnation. He would do this at the cost of His
own blood.
The Plan
GOD knew that we did not have it in our nature to keep His holy law.
He knew that we could never live up to His standard of holiness and
righteousness, especially with the presence of our adversary, the devil,
in the world.
Since we all were already born into sin, and condemned to the
lake of fire [Revelation 20:15] for eternity, GOD's plan to save us was
to sacrifice a perfect, faultless, innocent life in place of
ours. Only One Person who was without sin possessed a life worthy to atone for others.
The shedding of the blood of this pure life, would pay the price for the
sins which we have committed, thus paying our debt to a just and holy God
(Redemption).
But there was no mortal man who could fulfil this role of holiness,
and righteousness- therefore, GOD Himself would become a man and
pay this price of great suffering. There was no other way, as there was no
other One who was holy. In ancient Israel about 7BC, Almighty God Himself,
"overshadowed" a virgin named Miriam (Mary) and she conceived. God Himself
being the direct Father of this holy child. An angel of the LORD described
this miracle to Mary before it happened;
Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said unto her,
The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and
the power of the Highest shall overshadow
thee: therefore also that holy thing which
shall be born of thee shall be called the
Son of God.
|
With the birth of this virgin born child, Yeshua of Nazareth, which
totally fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 7:14, humanity witnessed the
greatest miracle of all time ...GOD Himself becoming a Man;
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you
a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive,
and bear a son, and shall call his name
Immanuel.

This Holy and Righteous One of Israel (Yeshua was born to a Jewish maiden)
lived His entire life with a will only to do that which His Father had
sent Him to do. He was without sin. Death did not apply to Him because
He was innocent in all things.
Yet, this Holy SON of GOD died on a cruel cross
at Calvary, about 30AD. Brutally murdered, the
Lamb of GOD offered His life, as an atonement
for yours. Three days later, He rose victoriously
from the grave in victory over sin and death.
He ascended to the Throne of God where He now
reigns as KING of Kings and LORD of Lords.
In believing this Gospel through faith and
in repentance, this atoning death and glorious resurrection of the
the LAMB of GOD, Yeshua of Nazareth- pays the debt that you would
have had to pay yourself, in an eternity in Hell.
In receiving Christ as your Messiah,
His resurrection, is applied to your life, as you
too will be raised from death into eternal life.
You will be saved by grace- through faith [Ephesians 2:8-10].
There is SALVATION in Christ Jesus for you. Believest thou this?
I confess and desire the atonement found in Christ Jesus, my Saviour.
